Concept

A hybrid microgrid in one container

The container power plant is an intelligent hybrid microgrid: a solar plant, battery storage, a backup diesel generator and automatic energy management in a single transportable unit. The system was developed in cooperation with the Israeli Ministries of Defence and Energy for the most demanding security applications.

Uninterrupted 24/7 supplyThe combination of PV, batteries and a backup generator guarantees power independent of the grid and fuel deliveries.
Dramatically lower operating costsPredictable energy costs for decades ahead — without exposure to diesel prices.
Deployed within hoursA plug-and-play system with pre-installed components is operational within 4 hours of unloading.
ScalabilityPV output, battery and inverter capacity are matched to your loads and can be expanded with additional containers at any time.
The problem

Why a diesel generator is not enough

Remote installations run on diesel generators today — inheriting all their weaknesses. The hybrid system solves them at the core: batteries carry normal operation and the generator starts only rarely, as a backup.

Breakdowns & outages

Standalone diesel generators are failure-prone, jeopardising unit readiness and critical systems.

Costly operation

Fuel, oils, filters and generator servicing mean permanently rising operating expenses.

Constant refuelling

Regular fuel deliveries and preventive maintenance cost time, money and logistics capacity.

Difficult expansion

Growing demand in a remote location means more generators, more fuel and more problems.

Theft & sabotage

Diesel and generators are frequent theft targets — an ongoing security risk and financial burden.

PV output, battery capacity and inverter power are matched to the actual loads — from communication nodes to entire bases. The system can be expanded with additional solar containers at any time.

Drawings

What the system looks like

The solar array is stowed along the container sides and unfolds like wings on a hinged structure — no crane and no on-site panel assembly. Batteries, inverters, generator and switchgear inside are pre-installed and factory-wired.

The solution

Engineered for critical operations

Rapid deploymentPre-installed components, prepared cabling paths and the specialised PV structure cut commissioning to hours instead of months.
Reliability in harsh conditionsOperation is battery-centric with instant response; diesel engages only in rare backup scenarios.
Full integrationAll power flows through the batteries and hybrid inverters — no complex source synchronisation, minimal maintenance, simple operation.
Heat evacuationActive air conditioning combined with a reflective cooling coating keeps the technology at optimal temperature and extends system life.
Value

What the hybrid plant delivers in numbers

Figures come from real operation of deployed systems; actual savings depend on operating intensity and load profile.

−85%annual fuel consumption vs. diesel-only operation
−80%tanker logistics costs and the associated risks
−80%CO₂ emissions — quiet operation also improves discretion
3–5 yrstypical return on investment
Applications

Who the system is for

Armed forces & security services

Powering bases, outposts, radars and communication nodes without vulnerable fuel logistics.

Critical infrastructure & telecom

Energy autonomy for transmitters, data and control nodes anywhere in the field.

Remote operations & crisis response

Farms, mines, construction sites and humanitarian operations — reliable power beyond the grid.
